Perpetual Dawn

Father, you may be as old as midday,
so I ask the evening not to come.
The night cannot infringe on us unless
you've made arrangements for a perpetual dawn

How the world can continue to exist without you I know not,
yet you plead me to go on.
You taught me that no real man lets sorrow
destroy him till he's gone.

Let him alone, let him alone.
With peace inside us we let him alone
He's coming home, he's coming home.
With peace inside him he's free to roam.
